Les Fleurs is my new pastel series exploring flowers and light,  a traditional subject with a contemporary interpretation. I return to pastel only once every few years to create a small, limited series.

I love working with soft pastels. It is almost like drawing with tiny sculptures of pure pigments. Every movement matters. This series is on velour paper, requiring an exceptionally delicate touch, patience, and precise layering.
The velvety texture of the paper gives the finished works the appearance of being drawn directly onto fabric.

Framing:
To achieve the most breathtaking result, I recommend taking the piece, along with a photo of your intended interior, to a local fine art framer. Guided by both the artwork and your space, an expert framer will select the ideal passe-partout and frame for a perfect, generational result.
