Flavour of Eden I.

70x70x4 cm / acrylic on canvas, 2023

This painting represents a Eden garden full of exotic flowers, similar to a moss bed, where one could lie and feel the energy of nature. The strong water element, shown from above, embraces the flowers and symbolizes the peaceful interconnection of all life. (Eden = biblical paradise, Hebrew = delight, or Sumerian = fertile land.) A multi-coloured delicious combination of shades of pink, green, orange, yellow, blue and deep turquoise.

Seduce yourself with sensual texture, colour and expectation. Painted with a heavy impasto technique that creates a luxurious relief. Sarah invented two other similar relief techniques almost 20 years ago. A low relief technique and also a sunken relief, typical only for artworks from ancient Egypt. Signature is on the side of the artwork.
