A Little Seoul I.

50x100x2 and 40x50x2 cm / mixed media on canvas, 2016

This structured painting of Seoul was inspired by the blooming fields traversed by a golden ribbon - the river overseen by the white moon rabbit and its female mate. The moon rabbit is the markings on the moon and in Korea, it is supposed to be pounding rice in the mortar in order to make rice cakes. "Little Seoul I." is part of the artist's "Around the World" collection, which presents interesting cities or entire countries from a higher perspective.

The abstract structure of the streets themselves is sometimes complemented by figurative painting, gilding or gemstones. An original artwork, made with love and passion.
