Archetype II. (Golden Priestess)
60x60x2 cm / acrylic on canvas, 2024
A Priestess has the power to change reality and possesses secret knowledge. A piece from new minimalist collection of paintings representing Archetypes. In fine art they are classically depicted as portraits of beautiful women and men. These new paintings capture their energetic and informational substance as their symbol, so that our soul can absorb the pure essence. The Priestess archetype is inspired by the theories of Carl G. Jung
and his followers such as Clarissa P. Estés (Women Who Run With Wolves) and Jean S. Bolen (The Goddess in Every Woman). The Priestess embodies spiritual power, intuition, charisma and access to knowledge. In psychological terms, archetypes are patterns of thoughts, and consequently behavior, that exists in the human unconscious. They represent fundamental human experiences that determine how we perceive the world and ourselves.
