Tree of Joy I.

120x200x5 cm / oil and mixed media on canvas, 2019

I was honoured to paint this tree especially for a chateau Poříčí in Czech Republic. As a big lover of nature, I am attracted to flowers and trees being a traditional artistic topic. As my other artworks, they are painted with my 3D technique. I perceive the flowers as symbols. Each flower represents a certain type of energy. Colors are inspired by the smell of the flowers. "Flowers in their natural and also in their stylised form were always accompanied by certain magical power." Viktor Palivec, Heraldic Symbolism
